Definition of Fibrinolytic:

Pertaining to or emanating from fibrinolysis; substances that stimulate or inhibit fibrinolysis, which process includes plasminogen, tissue plasminogen activator, urokinase and kallikrein. Fibrinolytic inhibitors include ?-aminocaproic acid and antiplasmin-?1; Fibrinolytic stimulators include hormones (e.g. corticosteroids), enzymes (e.g. streptokinase) and others such as epinephrine [Saunders2007].
